A reader’s view: Check out this fantastic report from our recent event celebrating Ursula Le Guin

Our November event exploring Ursula Le Guin’s A Wizard of Earthsea and the author’s enduring legacy was one of our most popular yet, with almost 100 Le Guin readers and fans sharing in the discussion.

If you weren’t able to make it (or if you were and you want to re-live the experience!), have a read of this lovely review of the evening by BookTalk attendee Calmgrove (Chris Lovegrove). It includes some thoughtful observations about Le Guin’s work as well as detailed summaries of our expert speakers’ presentations.

In Chris’ words, it was “a very stimulating evening…well attended by both students and the general public and, sadly, over with far too quickly.”

Thank you, Chris, for sharing your insights and giving us such a great record of the evening!

  1. Thanks so much for the compliments and links to my review, Alix, I genuinely enjoyed the evening, it was definitely worth driving down to Cardiff and back from the Black Mountains in Powys on the night!
